Steady Improvements Throughout the Miles Eric Furey showed consistent improvements in his pacing at the 2026 Saucony Love Run Philly Half Marathon. Starting with a 12:58 min/mile pace, Eric progressively increased his speed and completed the race with an overall pace of 10:29 min/mile. The splits reveal a strategic increase in pace, particularly impressive during the last 5K, where Eric recorded an impressive 8:02 min/mile for the final mile. Throughout the 13.1 miles, Eric saw notable placements within his division at mile 6 and mile 13. He completed the race in 2:17:22 and finished 746th in his division. With significant improvements in pacing demonstrated during the second half of the race, Eric's focus on reducing his time per mile paid off well. For future races, maintaining the speed from mile 8 while reducing fluctuations in pace earlier in the race could further enhance performance.
