Consistent Pacing and Strategic Position Gains Sanghyuk Chun maintained an impressive consistency throughout the 2026 Saucony Love Run Philly Half Marathon with an overall race time of 1:47:53 and an average pace of 8:14 min/mile. Notably, his first and second miles were his fastest, clocking in at 8:04 and 8:03, respectively. Chun showcased his pacing skills by staying within a small time variance, contributing to a dynamic middle race. Strategic gains in position were evident, particularly between miles 4 and 5, moving from 742 overall to 1552 overall; a 59% change in placement. Analyzing split performances, Chun exhibited resilience in the latter stages; despite a deceleration in the final mile with an 8:56 pace, his positioning among male participants remained competitive.
