Consistent Pacing with a Slight Variation Mid-Race Kevin maintained a consistent pace throughout the race, keeping an average pace between 7:40 to 7:50 minutes per mile. His first five miles were remarkably uniform, each split recorded at 7:43 min/mile. It's noteworthy that at mile six, he increased his pace to 7:31 min/mile, which is a great way to make up time. This change in pace helped him move up in the ranks, notably improving his overall and gender placements. Towards the middle of the race, mile seven showed a slightly slower split at 8:24 min/mile, but Kevin managed to regain consistency, maintaining paces in the high 7 minutes range for the remainder. With a final time of 1:42:44 for the 13.1 miles, Kevin finished in a commendable position in his age division, M45-49. A continued focus on maintaining steady pacing in the latter stages will further enhance this impressive performance.
