Consistent Performance with a Strong Start Anne's half marathon began with impressive pacing, starting the first mile at 8:29 min/mile. Early on, she built solid momentum, progressively improving her split times, notably recording her fastest at mile four, clocking in at 7:29 min/mile. This pace propelled her into a commendable 42nd position in her division at that point, showcasing her capability in harnessing a strong early phase. However, as the race progressed, there was a noticeable deceleration, particularly evident during mile 7 when the split pace dropped to 10:52 min/mile. Despite this, Anne managed to recover, ending the final mile with a robust 7:55 min/mile. Overall, Anne completed the race with an elapsed time of 1:54:03, maintaining an average pace of 8:42 min/mile. For future races, maintaining the momentum from early miles and managing the mid-race pace could further enhance her performance.
