Consistent Start with Some Slowdown in a Competitive Field Devin maintained a solid and consistent pace for the first half of the race, averaging 7:47 min/mile for the initial 5 miles, which was commendable. This consistency placed him 684th overall and 118th in the M20-24 division at the 3-mile mark. It was noted that after mile 3, Devin impressively improved his overall position to 509 by mile 4. As the race progressed, Devin experienced a slowdown with the pace dropping to 9:55 min/mile by mile 7, which is something to analyze for future races. Encouragingly, Devin regained some momentum toward the end of the race with a solid 7:55 min/mile on mile 11. Overall, Devin finished the half marathon with a time of 1:48:18 and an average pace of 8:16 min/mile, placing 1302nd in the male category in a competitive pool of 11,586 participants.
