Consistent Pacing with a Notable Strong Segment Matthew Lautenbach maintained a consistent pace throughout most of the race, starting strong with even 8:11 min/mile splits through the first four miles. Notably, his fifth mile picked up slightly to an 8:06 min/mile pace, and he accelerated impressively in the sixth mile with a 7:45 min/mile pace, marking his fastest split and improving his standing. During the race's latter half, Matthew sustained an overall average pace of 8:08 min/mile from a total of 13.1 miles. Though there was some fluctuation, such as the 8:34 min/mile in the seventh mile, he quickly regained momentum in the eighth with another fast 7:41 min/mile.
