Consistent Pace with Strategic Speed Bursts Hokyoon Lee maintained a commendably steady pace throughout the 2026 Saucony Love Run Philly Half Marathon, achieving an average pace of 7:59 minutes per mile. Starting strong with an 8-minute mile, Hokyoon accelerated in the 4th mile, hitting a split pace of 7:54. Notably, he reached an impressive split time of 7:32 in the 5th mile, marking it as his fastest segment. Despite the challenging split variations, Lee maintained control, ending the race with only slight pace variations. Lee's performance saw him hold a consistent position within his age group, M30-34, never falling beyond 167th position from 192. Overall, he maneuvered through the extensive field of 11,586 participants, ultimately ranking 1,440th. For future races, maintaining the mid-race pacing strategy from the 5th mile could help sustain a steadier overall performance.
