Consistent Effort with Strong Finish Francis Yalda maintained an average pace of 6:46 min/mile in the half marathon, completing the race in 1:28:40. The initial mile started strong with a time of 6:27 and a strong division position of 34th. The pace remained solid through mile four with splits in the low 6:30s. Notably, during mile eleven, Yalda picked up the pace with a 6:25 split, showing impressive stamina and speed towards the end of the race. Throughout the race, Yalda's split times and places saw fluctuations; however, his focus on a sub-7:00 pace paid off, as he finished in the top quarter of his division. Between miles 2 and 6, there were some increases in time, peaking at mile 7 with a 7:27 split. Despite these, the later kilometers demonstrated Yalda's ability to regain pace, particularly noticeable with a 6:36 at mile 13. Continuing to work on maintaining an even pace will complement the strong finish shown here.
