Consistent Pacing with a Strong Finish Karah Osterberg completed the 2025 Vacation Races Mount Rushmore Half Marathon in 1:54:02 with an average pace of 8:42 min/mile. Her overall placement was 18th out of 523 participants, and she placed 5th among females. Starting strong with an initial mile pace of 8:10, she maintained a consistent performance throughout the race. Despite a slower pace at mile 7 (10:58 min/mile), Karah showcased a significant improvement in the final miles. From mile 9 onwards, she achieved a negative split with remarkable paces of 7:29, 7:50, 7:48, and 7:43 min/mile in the last segments. Continuing to improve this negative split approach would be beneficial. Additionally, focusing on maintaining a steadier pace during the middle miles could further enhance overall performance.
