Consistent Performance with a Strong Finish James Spencer delivered a strong performance in the 2025 Vacation Races Half Marathon at Mount Rushmore, clocking an overall time of 1:58:33. Maintaining an average pace of 9:03 min/mile over 13.1 miles, James secured a notable 5th place in the Male Masters division. His pace consistency was impressive, as seen in split times; notably, a remarkable last mile at 6:51 min/mile. Throughout the race, James demonstrated strategic pacing, particularly between miles 4 to 12 where his pace remained steady around the 9:30 min/mile mark. From mile 9 onwards, his speed increased sharply, finishing 23rd overall and 17th among males in a field of 523. Areas to refine might include maintaining the faster pace observed at the end throughout more of the race, which could further enhance overall time and competitive standing in future events.
