Dominant First-Place Finish with Consistent Pacing Miles Braithwaite finished the 2026 Runtastic NEBO Marathon with an impressive time of 2:35:27, achieving an overall first-place finish among 308 participants. Starting strong with a 6:10 min/mile pace for the first mile, Miles quickly accelerated, improving his pace to sub 6-minute miles. He demonstrated consistent performance, maintaining a strong average pace of 5:55 min/mile by the end of the race. Miles showed strategic pacing, especially notable between miles 15 and 21 where he significantly increased his pace to sub-5:30 levels, even managing a rapid 5:09 min/mile split at mile 16. In the final stretch, from mile 19 onwards, he took and maintained the lead. His ability to alternate his speed and pace effectively set him apart in the competition, ultimately securing first placement across all categories: overall, male, and division. Encouragement for future events would involve exploring if an earlier pace adjustment could yield further improvements.
