Outstanding Pacing and Performance Leads to Victory Grant DiNicola delivered a stellar 10K performance at the 2026 Runtastic NEBO with an impressive time of 34:46, achieving an average pace of 5:36 min/mile. His pacing strategy was effectively executed, starting with a solid 6:01 min/mile in the first mile, followed by a swift acceleration to 5:22 min/mile by the second mile. After that, Grant consistently maintained a pace under 5:41 min/mile in subsequent miles, which propelled him to take the lead and ultimately secure first place overall. Throughout the race, Grant demonstrated remarkable endurance and speed as he gradually moved up in placement. Starting in fifth place overall after the first mile, he steadily worked his way into first place by the fourth mile and maintained that position through to the finish. His calculated mid-race surge between the second and third mile was particularly commendable. Physical conditioning and strategic pacing should continue to be points of focus for future races.
