Strong Finish with Consistent Pace Sean McKelvie maintained a remarkably consistent pace throughout the 2026 Ogden Marathon, averaging 6:22 minutes per mile over 26.2 miles. In the M Masters (40+) division, Sean excelled with several splits holding the 2nd position. His splits varied slightly, starting at a brisk 6:08 for the first mile, then stabilizing around the low 6:20s for the majority of the race. Remarkably, he pushed through miles 18 to 20 with confident pacing, including a standout mile 18 at 6:01. Sean showed strength by finishing 1st in the M Masters (40+) division with a final time of 2:46:59, and placed 18th overall amidst a field of 1,808 participants. Areas to focus on could be the late-race pacing, specifically in miles 25 and 26, where the pace widened to 6:56 and 6:42, respectively. Fine-tuning the consistency in the latter miles could bring even more impressive results.
