Consistent Pacing Leads to Podium Finish Asher Bowen maintained an impressive pacing strategy throughout the 2026 Ogden Marathon. Averaging a mile pace of 6:11, Asher systematically progressed through the race, highlighting a remarkable split improvement from a pace of 6:26 at mile 2 to a swift 6:02 at mile 26. Through consistent performance and strategic pacing, Asher managed to position himself within the top 2 of his division (M19-24) by the end of the race. Despite starting 5th in his division after the first mile, Asher expertly navigated the field, achieving an overall placement of 12th out of 1808 participants. Remarkably, he sustained a nearly uniform pace throughout the race, even achieving splits under 6 minutes during the later miles (e.g., mile 22 at 5:59 and mile 23 at 5:58). Finishing with a total time of 2:42:19, Asher showcased excellent endurance and dedication. Keeping a close eye on pacing and splits will continue to enhance Asher's future race performances.
