He maintained remarkable consistency throughout the race, with most of his mile splits hovering around the 6:06 mark, showing his capability in sustaining a steady pace over a long distance. Notably, John gained momentum in the second half of the race. His split times improved significantly in the final miles, dropping to 5:58 and 5:48 in miles 18 and 22, respectively. Despite the early pace consistency, this strategic acceleration contributed to his placement within the top ten overall and seventh place among male participants.
