Notably, Adan improved his time by over 15 minutes compared to his previous marathon result of 3:06:46, showcasing significant progress. Throughout the race, his pacing strategy was effective, maintaining a consistent average pace around 6:32 min/mile. The 6:23 min/mile pace in the final mile displayed impressive endurance and determination. Adan secured the 25th position overall out of 1808 participants and placed 5th in his division (M35-39). In particular, he demonstrated excellent placement advancement, moving from the 44th position at the first mile to 18th by the end. This upward move showcases strong mid to late race strategy. For future races, rehearsing a similar pacing plan could continue to refine race-day execution, emphasizing closing strength in the final miles.
