Consistent Pacing and a Strong Finish Relay Roadrunners displayed remarkable consistency in their pacing during the 2026 Ogden Marathon Relay, maintaining an average pace of 8:28 minutes per mile over the 26.2-mile course. The team began with a steady 7:58-minute mile and gradually improved, reaching a peak pace of 7:28 minutes per mile at mile 14. Notably, at mile 18, they achieved their best split of 7:27 minutes. Although the later splits showed a slowdown, with miles 19 through 26 at over 10 minutes per mile, the team's overall performance was commendable, earning them 4th place overall and in the mixed-gender category. With a total elapsed time of 3:42:13, their effort placed them among the top contenders in a field of 53 participants. Continuing to sustain early race speed into the final miles could tighten future performances further.
