Strong Finish with Consistent Improvement Relay Tastes like Slowness achieved an overall time of 3:59:05 in the Marathon Relay at the 2026 Ogden Marathon. The team's steady pacing strategy resulted in a remarkable overall placement of 13th out of 53 participants and 12th in their mixed-gender category. Starting with a 10:11 min/mile for the first mile, consistent acceleration was noted, particularly in the latter half of the race, peaking at a 6:43 min/mile split during mile 22 and contributing to an impressive overall pace of 9:07 min/mile. This performance shows not only improvement over the team's 2025 Ogden Half Marathon pace of 9:36 min/mile, but noteworthy consistency from the midpoint through to the finish. Suggestions for future races would be to focus on maintaining those faster splits achieved in the later miles for even more competitive overall placement and time in upcoming events.
