Consistent Start with Strong Finish The team from Thatcher Brook had an impressive performance at the 2026 Ogden Marathon. They maintained a steady pace throughout, with their splits mostly consistent in the 8:40 to 9:06 min/mile range. Noteworthy was their acceleration towards the end, particularly during the 18th mile which they completed in 7:45. Additionally, their ability to keep placements mostly stable throughout, as they navigated through the pack, is commendable. They completed the 26.2-mile marathon relay with an overall elapsed time of 3:58:49, and an average pace of 9:06 min/mile. Even towards the latter part, despite the drop in pace in the final few miles, they managed to secure a strong 6th place finish in their gender category. Focusing on maintaining pacing strength in the later miles could be beneficial for future races, but their performance demonstrates solid teamwork and determination.
