Consistent Performance with Strong Finish Riley Morris from North Ogden, UT completed the 2026 Ogden Marathon 5K with impressive pacing throughout the race. Starting with an 8:53 min/mile pace in the first mile, he quickly adjusted to an 8:45 min/mile pace by the second mile. Notably, Riley picked up the pace significantly in the final stretch, clocking in at 7:50 min/mile for the third mile. This strategic pacing led to a strong finish with an overall time of 26:03 and an average pace of 8:24 min/mile. Riley placed 22nd overall out of 653 participants and impressively secured 2nd place in the M19-24 division. Throughout the race, his positions improved significantly from 35th to 22nd. Next time, try maintaining the accelerated pace from the third mile throughout the race to enhance performance further. The consistent drop in the split times shows great potential for future races.
