Consistent Effort with Strong Division Finish Jayson Beagley maintained a steady pace throughout the 2026 Ogden Marathon's 8.2-mile event. Starting with a pace of 7:24 min/mile in the first mile, he managed to increase his pace to 7:08 min/mile by the second mile, showing adaptability and strength. He continued to keep relatively consistent splits, holding an overall pace of 7:23 min/mile by the end of the race. Overall, he finished 11th out of 740 participants and achieved an impressive 2nd place in the M50-54 division. Compared to his previous performance at the 2025 Ogden Marathon, Jayson's pace this year showed slight variation. While his overall time of 1:00:15 was slightly slower than the 58:53 he recorded last year, his division standing remained strong, moving from 1st in 2025 to 2nd in 2026. He showed consistent pacing and resilience, with his strongest pace at mile 2 and maintaining his position in the top ranks of his division. One potential focus could be maintaining his peak pace through the latter stages of the race.
