Steady Pacing with a Strong Finish Josh Williams maintained a consistent pace throughout the 5K event at the 2026 Ogden Marathon. His first mile was completed in 7:21, retaining a steady rhythm with a 7:22 second split. Impressively, Josh picked up the pace for his third mile, clocking in at 7:04. This adjustment helped him close strongly with an overall elapsed time of 22:23, averaging a 7:13 pace per mile. Throughout the race, Josh improved his overall standing, moving from 10th after the first mile to 7th at the third mile, before finishing 8th out of 653 participants overall. His ability to accelerate as the race progressed is commendable. For future races, maintaining that third-mile pace consistently through the event could result in an even quicker finishing time.
