Consistent and Competitive Performance Tyler Lyon maintained a strong pace throughout the 2026 Ogden Marathon. Starting with an impressive first mile pace of 5:33 min/mile, he set the momentum early. Although he was briefly at the top for the first three miles, he settled into a consistent rhythm, predominantly holding a steady pace around 5:36 min/mile, which was maintained for most of the race. An exceptional surge at mile 17 with a split of 5:31 min/mile showcases his stamina and strategy. Tyler completed the marathon in 2:27:01, achieving an average pace of 5:36 min/mile while placing 3rd overall among 1808 participants. His pacing at miles 22 and 23 was notably fast, at 5:22 and 5:27 min/mile, respectively. While a few later splits slowed slightly, preserving a strong finish is commendable. In future races, sustaining energy in the latter stages could benefit overall performance.
