Impressive Consistency and Division Podium Finish Mike Floyd delivered a commendable performance at the 2026 Run on the River Half Marathon. Demonstrating a strong start, he completed the first mile in 7:24, maintaining a solid place at 8th overall. Notably, he accelerated in the second mile, clocking a speedy 6:19, which improved his overall position to 3rd and placed him 2nd in his gender category. Maintaining consistency, Mike completed the 13.12-mile course with a final time of 1:42:40, achieving an average pace of 7:49 per mile. His second-place finish in the M55-59 division is impressive, particularly given his sustained pace over the race. While there was a gradual increase in split times in the latter stages, focusing on pacing strategies in the final miles might prevent the pace decline.
