Consistent Pacing Leads to Strong Finish Josh Fry, 37, of Warrenton, OR, delivered an impressive performance in the 2026 Run on the River Half Marathon, clocking a final time of 1:11:12 with an average pace of 5:25 min/mile. Throughout the race, Josh maintained a consistently swift pace, with particularly notable splits between miles 2 and 3 at 5:04 min/mile, helping him secure 1st place overall temporarily during mile 4. He finished 2nd overall and 2nd in his division out of 228 participants in this competitive event. Josh's pacing strategy was evident as he kept each mile close to his average pace, demonstrating his strong endurance and experience. A small dip in pace was observed during miles 6 to 9; however, he regained his momentum to close strong in the final miles. Continuously working on maintaining pace during the midsection of the race could further enhance his performance next time. Well done, Josh!
