Consistent Performance with Strong Division Finish Kevin Staples displayed a commendable performance at the 2026 Run on the River Half Marathon in Astoria. Opening with a swift 7:31 minute-mile, he secured 8th in the male category out of 228 participants. As the race progressed, his split from mile 2 stood out with an impressive 6:37 pace, marking his fastest segment and securing 2nd place in his division, M50-54. Consistency was a hallmark of his race, maintaining an overall average pace of 7:49 min/mile. Kevin's persistence paid off, as he successfully balanced his pace further downhill from mile 8 onward, allowing him to claw back to a 14th position in the male category and 17th overall.
