An impressive highlight was her second mile split, where she clocked an outstanding 6:01 min/mile, earning her the top position in her gender for that segment. Furthermore, she consistently placed 2nd in her gender and division for most of the race. Her performance remained steady after the initial enthusiastic second mile, with splits hovering around the 7:20-7:40 min/mile pace. Maddie successfully maintained consistent race pacing, finishing energetically with her personal best placing of 2nd in her division and gender out of 228 participants.
