Strong Finish in Age Division Jason Gandee completed the 2026 Run on the River Half Marathon with a final time of 1:40:03, maintaining a strong average pace of 7:37 min/mile. Notably, he secured 1st place in the M55-59 division. Starting with a swift pace in the first mile, Jason clocked in at 7:23 min/mile, setting himself up for a competitive performance. Through the middle miles, he maintained consistent pacing in the low to mid 7-minute range. These sustained splits contributed to a strong age division finish, even as his pace slightly adjusted in the latter half. Specifically, he completed the second mile in his fastest split time of 6:14 min/mile. Although a slight decline in pacing was noted in the later stages, with the steepest at mile 9 (8:25 min/mile), overall, his performance remained robust. Consistency in the early and mid-race efforts effectively contributed to achieving this excellent age group result.
