He maintained an impressive average pace of 5:41 min/mile throughout the race, finishing the 3.1-mile course in 17:39. Joshua's initial mile showed a strong start with a 5:34 pace, securing him 8th place overall. Joshua's placement displayed steady improvement, as he moved into 3rd place in his division (M15-19) and 7th in his gender category by the third mile. His ability to slightly increase his speed in the third mile to a 5:37 pace, after a minor slowdown in the second mile, demonstrates good strategic pacing. One area to refine could be sustaining or adopting a slightly quicker pace during the middle of the race to mitigate any mid-race slowdown. Overall, he competed admirably among 472 participants.
