Dominant Performance in Every Split Habtamu Cheney ran an incredible race at the 2026 Runtastic Steel Days 10K. Maintaining the lead throughout, he completed the race in 32:50, averaging a pace of 5:17 minutes per mile across the 6.2-mile course. Each split displayed an impressive pace, starting at 5:13 min/mile and closing the sixth mile with a swift 4:58 min/mile split. His performance ensured he secured 1st place overall, 1st in gender, and 1st in his division amongst 171 participants. Notably, he showed remarkable consistency with four out of six splits under 5:30 min/mile and improving his pace in the final miles. Based in Provo, UT, he can take pride in this outstanding achievement, and perhaps focus on maintaining this consistent pace in future events. Great job!
