Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Sadaf Azam #2073 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Steady 5K with a quick opening kilometre Sadaf completed the 5K in 27:58, averaging 5:35/km. She placed 613th of the womens field and finished ahead of a large share of the 5,624 participants overall. Her fastest kilometre was the first in 5:25, and she reached 2K in 10:55 at 5:27/km. From there, the pace settled: 5:43 for both the third and fourth kilometres, then a small lift to 5:39 in the final kilometre. That pattern points to a strong start and a mostly consistent second half. For future races, aiming to hold the opening kilometre a little closer to overall pace could help preserve momentum through 3K4K and support a stronger finish at fast evening events like this Canary Wharf 5K.
