Fast Opening 2K Set Up a Solid 5K Finish Habib completed the 5K in 25:30, averaging 5:06/km. He finished 1,395th of 5,624 overall, placing in roughly the top 25% of the field, and 172nd in the Male 3135 division. His first 2K was his strongest section: 5:00 for the opening kilometre, then 5:07, reaching 2K in 10:06. Through 3K he was still close to pace at 15:25 elapsed, before a slower fourth kilometre shaped the overall result. That contrast stands out, because his average pace remained notably stronger than that one segment alone. As a coaching takeaway, the opening speed is clearly there; the next step is holding that early 2K rhythm more evenly through 3K4K. At Run The Wharf, a closed-road evening 5K through Canary Wharf, that early pace showed good intent from the start.
