Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Adnan Raja #1822 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong finish and steadily quicker pacing Adnan completed the 5K in 21:51, averaging 4:22/km. He finished 588th of 5,624 overall, placing him in roughly the top 10.5% of the field. Among men, he was 371st, and 117th in the Male 2630 division. Representing South Asian Run Club, he put together a solid evening run at a fast Canary Wharf event built for rhythm and momentum. His pacing improved well through the race: 4:43, 4:16, 4:24, 4:25, then a fastest final kilometre of 4:04. He moved up from 817th at 1 km to 588th by the finish, gaining 229 places overall. That closing kilometre stands out most. As a coaching note, a slightly quicker opening kilometre could help unlock an even faster overall time while keeping that strong finish intact.
