Steady 5K pacing with a quick opening kilometre Aakash ran 5.00 km in 29:40, averaging 5:56/km. His opening kilometre was the quickest at 5:41, then he settled into a consistent rhythm: 6:00, 6:07, 5:57, and 5:57/km. That gave him just a 26-second spread across the full 5K, a solid sign of control. He finished 260th in the M31-35 division and was part of the large 5,624-runner field in this evening Canary Wharf race. From a coaching perspective, the standout stat is the stable second half: kilometres 4 and 5 matched exactly at 5:57/km after the slower third kilometre. He also moved up well early, reaching 2,084th overall at 2 km before fading back. The clearest next step is to smooth the pace between 1 km and 3 km so the strong finish arrives from an even stronger middle section.
