Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Feroz Jabbar #938 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong negative split with a fast closing kilometre Feroz Jabbar completed the 5K in 27:07, averaging 5:25/km. He finished 1,787th of 5,624 and placed 199th in the male 1825 category. His pacing improved each kilometre: 5:50, 5:41, 5:24, 5:14, then 4:59/km, a sharp progression that cut 51 seconds from first to last kilometre. That steady build was the standout stat. By 3km he had moved to 1,835th overall, then closed 48 places over the final 2km to 1,787th. Dropping under 5:00/km for the last kilometre shows strong finishing speed. As a coachs note, the next step is to bring a little more of that late pace into the opening 2km while keeping this controlled progression. Run The Wharfs evening closed-road format suited a well-timed finish like this.
