Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Velina Valcheva #3581 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Quick Opening Km Set Up a Solid 5K Velina ran 5.00 km in 33:29, averaging 6:41/km at Run The Wharf in London. Her fastest kilometre was the opening 1 km in 6:14, and she reached 2 km in 12:55 before finishing with a steady overall pace. She placed 3096th of 5624, putting her ahead of about 45% of the field in this evening closed-road 5K through Canary Wharf. Her pacing shows a strong start, followed by a gradual slowdown from 2 km to 4 km, then a return to 6:41 for the final kilometre. That closing response is a useful positive. As a coachs note, the clearest gain would come from holding the early effort a little closer to average pace so the middle kilometres stay more even.
