Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Vivek Patel #7970 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong Finish and Well-Controlled 5K Pace Vivek ran 5.00 km in 20:42, averaging 4:08/km. He finished 43rd in the Male 1825 division and placed 415th out of 5,624 overall, putting him well inside the top 8% of the field. In a fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf, that is a solid return. His pacing was consistent across the full distance: 4:15, 4:05, 4:13, 4:14, then a fastest final kilometre of 3:57. He improved position as the race went on, moving from 565th at 1 km to 415th at the finish, and from 72nd to 43rd in his division. That late surge stands out most. As a coachs note, a slightly sharper opening kilometre could help him gain places earlier while still preserving that strong closing speed.
