Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Malcolm Horner #1236 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast Finish and Strong Age-Group Result Malcolm Horner completed the 5K in 21:41, averaging 4:20/km. He placed 26th in the male 4145 division, 347th among men, and 559th overall out of 5,624 finishers. That put him in roughly the top 10% overall. Racing in Canary Wharfs closed-road evening 5K, he delivered a solid performance with a notably strong divisional showing. His pacing showed an aggressive start, with the opening kilometre in 3:42, then settled into 4:32, 4:41, and 4:34 before closing well in 4:15. The final kilometre was his quickest after the opener, a good sign of finishing strength. As a coachs note, a slightly more even effort through kilometres 24 could help convert that strong finish into a faster overall time next time.
