Fast Start and Steady 5K Execution Leah Watson completed the 5K in 29:31, averaging 5:54/km across 5.00 km. She placed 48th in the female 4145 division. Her opening kilometre was her quickest at 5:38, and she reached 2 km in 11:31 at 5:45/km average pace. From 2 km onward, she stayed consistent, with kilometres of 6:11, 6:00, and 5:51. That closing kilometre was a strong rebound after the third, showing good control late in the race. The spread between her fastest and slowest kilometre was 33 seconds, which is a solid range for an evening closed-road 5K through Canary Wharf. As a next step, aiming to hold the early pace a little deeper into the middle kilometres could help trim more time.
