Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Fezile Futhela #213 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast start and strong sub-20:15 5K execution Fezile ran 5.00 km in 20:13, averaging 4:02/km. He finished 351st of 5,624, placing in roughly the top 6.2% overall. Within the male field he was 196th, and 44th in the Male 3135 division. Running as part of Run Social, he produced a solid result at this fast evening Canary Wharf 5K. His opening 2 km were quick at 3:45 and 3:57, reaching 3 km in 11:51. The pace then eased to 4:11/km in the third kilometre and 4:20/km in the fourth before he closed well with a 4:03 final kilometre. That finishing lift is a good sign. For an even stronger overall time, a slightly more controlled first kilometre could help hold closer to 4:00/km through the middle section.
