Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Mitesh Patel #1403 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong finish with a well-paced closing kilometre Mitesh Patel completed the 5K in 27:50, averaging 5:34/km. He placed 104th in the Male 4145 division and finished ahead of a large part of the 5,624-runner field, with an overall placing of 1,962. Running with Canary Wharf Run Club, he delivered a steady first 4km in 22:52, holding a narrow pace range of 5:375:49/km. The standout stat was his final kilometre: 4:59, nearly 40 seconds quicker than his overall average pace and his fastest segment of the race. He also improved his position through the run, moving from 2,395th at 1km to 1,962nd at the finish. That finishing speed suggests good reserve late on; aiming to bring a little more of that effort into the middle kilometres could lower his overall time further.
