Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Adrian Pascu #4459 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong Finish and Smart Recovery for a 21:14 5K Adrian ran 5.00 km in 21:14, averaging 4:14/km. He finished 483rd of 5,624, placing 290th among men and 39th in the M3640 division. His opening kilometre was quick at 4:15, and he still closed the final 2 km in 8:17 total, including his fastest full kilometre at 4:07. The key stat was his rebound after km 2. Following a slower second kilometre, he moved up from 642nd at 1 km to 483rd by the finish, gaining 159 places overall. That late-race progression fits well with a fast evening 5K like Run The Wharf. For next time, the main opportunity is pacing: matching the controlled effort of km 35 earlier could make the full 5 km more even.
