Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Grace Campbell #718 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong Finish and Clear Mid-Race Recovery Grace ran 5.00 km in 26:25, averaging 5:17/km. She finished 1610th of 5624, placing 435th among women and 155th in the female 2630 category. After 1 km in 6:33, she moved through the field steadily and finished this Friday night Canary Wharf 5K with a faster closing kilometre. Her fastest km was the last at 4:55, following splits of 4:05, 5:29 and 5:24. From 1 km to the finish, she gained 140 overall places and 52 places among women. That late pace shows good finishing strength. The biggest opportunity is the opening kilometre: a more settled start, closer to her later rhythm, could support a quicker overall time next time.
