Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Nigel Davison #729 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Quick Start, Strong Finish for a Solid 5K Nigel ran 5.00 km in 24:09, averaging 4:49/km. He placed 41st of 4650 men and finished 1097th of 5624 overall, putting him ahead of a large share of the field. His fastest kilometre was the opening 1 km in 4:34, and he closed the final kilometre in 4:45 after covering the middle section at 4:43, 4:59 and 5:10. The numbers show a positive opening, then a slowdown through 34 km before he regained pace well over the last kilometre. That late response is a useful strength, especially in a fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf. For the next race, aiming for a slightly steadier effort through kilometres 24 could help turn that strong finish into a quicker overall time.
