Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Amrita Sen #3675 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Strong Start, Best Closing Kilometre Amrita ran 5.00 km in 38:48, averaging 7:45/km. She placed 121st in the Female 4145 category and finished ahead of roughly 2,000 runners overall in a field of 5,624. Her opening 2 km were her steadiest stretch, reaching 2 km in 14:43 at 7:21/km overall pace. The split pattern was 7:16, 7:28, 8:13, 8:23, then 7:31, so the final kilometre was a clear rebound after the slower middle section. That late pickup is a useful positive on a fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf. As a coaching note, holding km 34 a little closer to early-race pace would likely bring down the overall time next time.
