Strong Finish with Progressive 5K Pacing Amie completed 5.0 km in 36:21, averaging 7:16/km. She placed 3454th of 5624 overall, and her fastest kilometre came at the end with a 6:55 final km. That closing split was 42 seconds quicker than her opening kilometre, a clear sign of well-managed pacing. Her km splits moved from 7:37 to 7:20 to 7:14, then 7:18, before that strong finish. She improved her overall position from 3687th at 1 km to 3411th by 3-4 km, holding those gains deep into the run. In a fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf, that late-race pickup stands out. As a coachs note, the biggest opportunity is to bring a little more of that final-kilometre pace into the middle section while keeping this controlled start.
