In the Male 2630 division, he was 60th. On a fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf, that sub-20 result stands out as a solid benchmark. His pacing was well controlled: 4:02, 4:04, 4:09, 3:58, and 3:47 per km. The key stat is the finish: after a slight dip in km 3, he closed with his fastest two kilometres, including a final kilometre 22 seconds quicker than km 3. He also improved from 426th at 1 km to 329th at the line, gaining 97 places overall. That late-race pickup is a good sign; holding km 3 closer to early pace could make the next 5K even sharper.
