Strong finish and age-group win with a faster final kilometre Ranait covered 5.00 km in 26:16, averaging 5:15/km. They placed 1st in the NB 2630 division and 4th NB overall, finishing 1579th of 5624. Running with Clifford Chance, they also closed the race well in an event known for its fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf. The pacing was steady across the opening 4 km: 5:11, 5:29, 5:24, and 5:22, before a clear lift to 4:51 in the final kilometre. That was the quickest segment of the race and moved them up 40 overall places from 4 km to the finish. As a coaching note, holding kilometre 2 a little closer to the opening pace could help set up an even stronger overall time next time.
