Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Rose Cocks #1606 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf 5K

Fast Start, Fast Finish for a Sub-25 5K Rose ran 5.00 km in 24:27, averaging 4:53/km. She finished 251st woman out of 5,624 overall participants, with a strong sub-25 result on a closed-road evening 5K through Canary Wharf. Her quickest kilometres were the 1st and 5th, both at 4:45/km, which stands out. Her pacing was consistent across the middle of the race: 4:56, 5:03, and 5:00/km for kilometres 2 to 4, before closing sharply. She moved up from 259th to 243rd among women by 2 km, then held position well through 4 km. From a coaching perspective, the opening and finishing speed were clear strengths; smoothing the small fade in kilometres 3 and 4 could bring the average pace down further next time.
