His opening 2 km were especially sharp and consistent at 3:11/km for both kilometres, moving him up to 46th overall by 2 km. From 2 km onward, the pace eased to 3:23, 3:31, and 3:29/km, with position then holding steady. That early speed shows clear strength, and the key coaching takeaway is to extend that 3:11/km rhythm deeper into the race. In a fast evening 5K through Canary Wharf, he paired front-end aggression with a very competitive overall result.
